outfit click i'm horrible at starting posts, so next one will be better! ----------------------------------------------- wyatt could smell the salt water in the air. it had brought him out from the woods and to the shore. his bare feet were warm and the sand shifted between his toes. he stood there for a long time before his eye sight fell onto cliffs in the distance. his hands sunk into the pockets of the light brown slacks as he walked through the sand, kicking it as he moved. his eyes would occasionally glance to the side to see if anyone was around as the sun rised against the horizon. he then turned his gaze to that very rising sun and admired its beauty from afar. the colors grew in the sky and turned the usual blue into shades of pink, yellow, and orange. not once did he stop on the several mile walk to the cliffs. every few minutes he would look ahead and notice them getting larger and larger. they were soon no longer distant cliffs but there right in front of him. it was time to climb. with a deep breath he began the journey, not once stopping until he got to the very top.
he stood at the edge of the cliff, feeling a slight breeze rushed into his face. his hands were in his pocket again, his drunken state slowly fading away just as the beautiful colors of the sunrise did. he breathed slowly and calmly as he was at ease, his eyes staring into the distance and his thoughts racing. when he finally took his hands out of his pockets he unbuttoned his white shirt and slid it off, tossing it aside into a patch of grass that was littered in bits of alabaster sand. he slowly began to unbutton his pants, sliding them off so he stood in nothing but light blue boxers which flapped in the wind. it felt nice to be nearly bare with no one around. he liked it this way. alone. at that very thought he let out a sigh of discontent. he knew that was a lie, no matter how hard he tried to convince himself otherwise. wyatt wanted nothing more than to find someone to love but he knew it was not possible. he didn't have the money as the others. not even of the middle class. "fuck em" he muttered and spat into the air, watching it fall off the cliff and into the water below.

Nellie looked out the window of her small hut and glanced across the town towards the clffs. She remembered being a little girl and climbing the cliffs with her father, as her mother prepared lunch below on the beach. The peace that seemed to wash over her family as they happily spent hot sticky days, rolling in the burning sand and surf. Nellie quickly wiped away a tear as she pushed the warm memory from her mind.
Quickly deciding that she would revisit her past, she pulled on a pair of red leather breeches that her mother used to wear, and a soft, worn gray shirt over them. Now feeling more comfortable, she grabbed her tan sack and stuffed it with some leftover bread an fruit, as well as a canteen of water. Before she slipped out of the door, Nellie grabbed her pair of black climbing boots. Now filled with energy and excitement, she ran around the outskirts of town until she reached the base of the cliffs. Wiping sweat from her brow, she sat and caught her breath for a minute or so. Now feeling refueled, she began her treck up the side of the mountain, with no fear of falling.
Finally reaching the top of the mountain, she threw herself on the cold dewy grass and rejoiced in her accomplishment. Completley exhausted, she dragged herself over to the shade of a tree and unpacked her light lunch. Just as she began tearing a chunk of bread, she noticed a head peeking over the edge, and then a body following behind. Curious to see, she remained in the shadows as a familiar looking young man appeared from behind the cliff. Interested, Nellie watched as he began undressing himself an relaxing. Laughing to herself, she barely heard an audible curse leave the mouth of the gentlemen. Deciding she should speak up, she jokingly announced herself. Well I agree with you about people. I say fuck em' all. Realizing that it was distasteful for a lady to curse, she changed the subject, Did you know that it's improper for a man to be undressed before an unmarried woman? ,she slyly stated.

outfit click ----------------------------------------------- the salt water breeze was relaxing and wyatt stood with a grin on his face and his eyes closed gently. he could of easily fallen face first off the cliff in his trance, if it were not for the voice of a woman. his eyes quickly shot open and he spun on his heels. in nothing but his boxers he stood there, unashamed of his nearly nude body. the woman had caught his attention with one single word. fuck. it was not something most woman said around town, or even outside of it. whether they were rich or not the woman around lirio island seemed to have proper manners. wyatt did not mind that though, because he actually found it rather cute. of course, when a woman swore like a sailor it definitely caught his attention much more.
his smile did not fade. mocha eyes looked her up and down, admiring her choice of clothing. it was different but it as nice. he listened to her speak, her feminine tone running through the man's ears. it had been at least three days since he had spoken to a girl so her company was more than welcome, although it was a strange way for them to meet. he ignored that thought, attempting to toss it aside. however, she made a comment about it and it made wyatt laugh. you do know it's improper for a young lady to swear, correct? with his sly inquiry he gave her a little wink and looked down at himself. his body was nicely toned, enough to be cocky about at least. although he wasn't trying to come off as that in front of a new acquaintance.
his eyes looked on the ground to find his clothes and yet he didn't seem to care enough to put them on. he looked back up at the girl, his hand moving to the back of his neck and scratching idly. he needed to think of something to say. what brings a beautiful young dame such as yourself out here? all alone, i must add? his brow raised a little bit but his facial expression returned to plain and emotionless, hard to read as usual. he turned around so that his back was to the girl and his eyes once more stared out to the beautiful and powerful sea. the wind continued to gently brush up against his pale flesh. ignoring what the girl might think he stretched his arms out in every direction, leaning back slightly and his face pointed to the sky. his eyes closed and he inhaled deeply, taking in the world around him.

Nellie smiled to herself as she saw that she had caught the nearly naked man off his guard. She blushed as the man pointed out that she was in fact being unlady like. Trying to seem aloof and carefree, she tartly snapped back a reply. Well I never said I was a proper lady. Laughing into the humid air, she smiled back up at the stranger as he gave Nellie a small wink. For a second, Nellie wondered if she should try to use this man as service but quickly turned down the idea, as she was trying to escape from her pressing issues.
The deep voice of the man shook her from her thoughts as he charmingly asked Nellie why she was out on the cliffs alone. However the man quickly turned around and faced the sea just as she was about to give him a little lie about her reasons. But watching the man so carelessly and calmly relax in the sunlight as an ocean breeze swept over him, inspired Nellie to tell the truth, for once. Gracefully walking over to the edge of the cliff, she stood next to the man and mimicked his position. Well I just had to get away from my life.
She breathed in the refreshing salty air when a crazy thought struck her and she instantly followed it. Quietly undressing down to her undergarments, she turned towards the mysterious man and gave him wry smile, just before she launched herself off the cliff and into the sparkling blue depths beneath.

outfit click ----------------------------------------------- wyatt inhaled through his nose as he remained in his position, still and relaxed. he could hear the girl's voice and soon he could hear her approaching. although his eyes were closed and the world was black all around him, he could somehow feel her presence close by. he opened his eyes and looked over to see the woman copying his position. he stiffed a chuckle and instead grinned wider than ever before. she seemed like a really interesting girl. already she appeared to be much different. wyatt could not resist being highly intrigued in the young woman and wonder more about her. he decided there would be plenty of time to ask and for the moment he simply relaxed, his body straightening and his arms relaxing by his side.
when the woman began to undress herself, wyatt looked away like a gentleman. however, he couldn't help but to peek over and examine her nearly nude flesh. the corners of his lips perked up into a smile and for a moment he held his breath as if capturing the image in his mind. suddenly, without any idea of what she were about to do, the young woman leaped off the cliff. quickly, wyatt ran to the edge of the cliff and almost slipped off. several bits of dirt drifted off the edge and followed the mystery girl down into the massive sea below. wyatt laughed and knew he had to follow. he wasn't about to seem like a coward to a woman so brave and so highly interesting. wyatt would not let this one get away without having at least one fun filled day together. she didn't seem like she'd object to that either.
without any further thought, wyatt leaped back a few feet before he ran forward and jumped into the air. his legs moved back and forth, his arms flailing jokingly in the air as he dropped towards the earth below. the sea caught him in its powerful grip. his eyes closed and he exhaled as he sunk deep below. as he opened his eyes he saw bubbles rising all around him and he stroked with his arms and legs back up to the surface where he inhaled deeply. he looked around till he spotted the girl and he laughed. you're not like the rest of em are ya? he asked with a little more laughter. he floated in that one spot, waiting for an answer that he really didn't need. he already made up his mind that she was different and that was a damn good thing.
your name. you never told me your name. he continued to float, his legs kicking the water under him to keep him up. one of his hands ran down his facial hair as if that would help get water off his face, but of course it only made it worse. he shook his head, bobbing up and down with the motion of the ocean. slowly he began to swim away and back towards the shore. he wasn't sure if they would jump again or if they would stay up there this time. either way he didn't care. it was fun and it didn't hurt to be working out a bit. wyatt hated to be lazy and he couldn't sit around all day. he looked up at the cliff from where they jumped. it was a decent journey back up and wyatt hoped she'd be up to take a short cut. rather than going to the shore and around they could easily climb the side of the cliff. some spots were big enough to sit and look out to the sea while still being splashed by the gentle waves rocking into the cliff wall.

sorry for the short reply, i was in a hurry Nellie floated to the top of the sparkling water and inhaled deeply, filling her lungs with the salty air. Opening her eyes just in time to witness the man on the cliff hurtle himself off of the edge and into the water nearby her. Nellie smiled widely as she realized that the stranger had passed her silent test, he had jumped in after her, proving that he wasn't just another typical island boy. She gracefully waded around in the water as she waited for him to rise to the surface. Only a moment later did she see his dark haired head break the surface and breathe in air.
She glanced into the chestnut eyes of the stranger as he laughed and proceeded to make a comment about her personality. She smiled and laughed at the remark but her only reply was a lifting of her eyebrow, suggesting that she was infact not normal. Nellie turned away from the man and began to float on the warm water when he suddenly asked about her name. Why should I give you my name, you never asked. she jokingly replied. Laughing at her own joke she noticed that the man was heading towards the shore, and she quickly followed, not wanting to end the conversation.
It's Nellie by the way, Nellie Jacobs.

outfit click no problem! ----------------------------------------------- small waves crashed into wyatt's face and rocked him back and forth with the sea, even as he swam towards the cliffs and shore. he didn't need to look back to know that the girl was following him. he could hear her paddling through the water as well and he couldn't help but to smirk. not that it was a big surprise that she followed. wyatt was happy to have company and he felt as though this girl was too. where was the fun in being alone? that question ate at wyatt quite a bit but he never brought it forward in a conversation. not to a man nor a woman. he understood that being poor and homeless would probably not land him with a true love and he had, for the most part, accepted that. so why was it starting to come up in his mind yet again?
it's nellie by the way, nellie jacobs. he listened to hear speak, memorizing her name and her feminine tone. wyatt smiled a half way smile before he stopped swimming. he floated in the sea and only a couple of feet away from the cliffs. the waves rocked him towards them and his hand reached out to grab a large stone and pull himself up onto the first ledge. he immediately fell back into the water. it would be tougher to climb than he thought and as he splashed under the surface he decided swimming to shore would be their best bet. so he again rose up to the surface, bobbing in one place. he wiped his face with his soaked hand and smiled. well miss jacobs, it's a pleasure to meet you. the man's smile was large and he meant what he said. however, he did not return his name quite yet. he enjoyed being mysterious in some ways.
his arms began to move and his legs followed quickly after. he was soon swimming through the sea and towards the shore with incredible strength. wyatt didn't doubt that nellie would follow him once more and then could begin their climb to the top of the cliff where their belongings awaited them. the closer he got to the sandy beach the more he slowed down and soon enough his feet touched the sand. he stood so the waves were splashing into his waist and he looked out to nellie. wyatt. mines wyatt! he called out to the ocean, hoping the girl could hear him over the calls of the seagulls and the roar of the sea. he smiled, his hands by his side as his chest pumped in and out in short and much needed breaths.

Nellie waded after the man as he approached the cliffs and unsuccesfully tried to climb them. Giggling to herself at seeing him fall back into the water, she accidently breathed in the salt water from a closeby wave. She began coughing and gasping as she slipped underneath the surface for a second, before she regained her footing on the seafloor. Taking in a couple of breaths of water she swam towards the shore, keeping her head well above the water. Thinking that she must have looked like a flailing fool, she shrugged off the thought. As she followed the bobbing head in front of her, she wondered why he hadn't given her his name in return. Did he want to seem mysterious or was he very careful about giving away his personal information?
Opening her mouth to ask him, she was amazed that he had told her his name at the exact second she was going to ask. Wyatt. Not a name that she particulary heard around the island, but as she pondered the mystery, she realized that he had come around the bar before while she was working. Immediatley, Nellie's cheeks grew a rosy red as she hoped that he had not recognized her from there and was expecting her services.
Now becoming very wary and quiet, she walked towards the shore, right past Wyatt and headed towards the cliffs. Now extremely aware of how poorly she was dressed, showing off her features, she began to cover herself with her arms. Trying to get back towards her clothes she began to quickly walk up the rocky incline, and she sliced her foot on some of the rocks. Not caring, she looked back and couldn't see Wyatt, so she slowed down her pace until she reached the top.

something had changed and it didn't take wyatt long to realize that. something had clicked in nellie's mind, but the man had no clue to what it was. he watched with a confused expression; his brows down and the corners of his lips dropped into a small but noticeable frown. he reached his arm out towards her as she picked up pace for the cliffs but that didn't get her to stop. he stood there, mouth open as if he were about to speak but didn't get the chance. his chest rose up tall before it dropped down in a loud exhale. what the hell. he mumbled to himself as he began following after her. his pace was slow at first but it quickly became a jog. finally he could see her waiting for him and his head cocked to the side. he was still confused but decided to wait till they got to the top to actually talk.
when they were both there brayden was panting slightly. his arms were limp by his sides and his head was cocked to the right once more. what the hell was that about? pardon my language, ma'am. he asked the question in a rude fashion but hastily changed it to a soft tone and an apology. he panted some more before his breathing calmed and he continued to speak before nellie got the chance to reply. look, i don't know if i did something or said something to upset you but i promise that was not my intention. i'm not sure what changed. i thought we were having a good time. he words were rushed out so that he could say what he wanted to before she began to explain. if she even were going to explain.
wyatt walked slowly over to his clothes. he picked up his slacks first and slid one leg in first and then the other. he tugged them up and buttoned them. his eyes were on his button but once he finished he looked back at nellie. his legs were still wet so the pants instantly became damp. he felt stupid for putting them on but it felt appropriate at the time. things were suddenly awkward and being half nude with a woman who was still considered a strange, who he was not even wed to, made it even more of an awkward situation. suddenly, wyatt began to wonder if that's what the whole thing was about. was she suddenly realizing what she had done? he almost wanted to laugh but he held it in. it would not be a good time to start laughing. instead he patiently waited for her response.

Nellie turned her back as she heard Wyatt appear from the rocky trail, grabbing a towel she quickly dried herself off and began to quickly pull on her clothes. Taking in a deep breath, she turned back towards Wyatt to ask him about his intentions. Noticing that he too was begin to dress, she listened as he angrily confronted her. Not knowing what to say, she grabbed her satchel, opened it, and retrieved her boots from the bag. Thinking to herself she realized that he had probably seen her at the bar, and could have been pretending to want to get to know her.
I can't explain to you why I need to leave. Any of the times you have been to the pub, you probably saw me, and I can't help fear that you expect me to... you know. Do you remember me from the pub? Nellie looked up into Wyatts eyes and she quickly turned away, but she couldn't help sneaking a peek, just in time to see the hint of a smile across the face of the man. Now feeling a new rage spark inside of her, Nellie jumped up and confronted Wyatt, with tears in her eyes.
I can't believe you! I thought there could have been one decent guy on this island that didn't expect me to service hime. But here you are, smiling away like a bafoon at the thought. Quickly turning away from him, as not to show him her tears, she began to stumble down the side of the cliff. But in her rage she began her descent on the wrong side of the cliff, and she was now heading towards an edge that she didn't know existed.

wyatt had smiled at the wrong timing. the second she turned and saw the smirk on his face it dawned on him what she was yelling about. his eyes grew wide for a moment and his facial expression turned into that of confusion and sincerity. he knew he needed to explain himself to the girl before it was too late, but her voice was raised once more. she was yelling now, angry and feeling rather betrayed it seemed. wyatt felt bad but still he was confused. the girl's rage and her crazy idea had seemed to come from no where. it shocked him. his mind raced on exactly what to say or what to do. not a word escaped his mouth. wyatt actually liked nellie and that made it more difficult to communicate with her for some reason. he felt tongue tied constantly.
nellie began walking away, her face hidden from wyatt's view, but he had a feeling that she was crying or at least close to it. then he realized something else. his eyes grew wide again, this time in fear. his body lunged towards her, his strong grip grabbing onto her arm just above the elbow and pulling her back with tremendous force. the twenty one year old man found himself stumbling back, still with a hold of her arm, and toppling to the ground. he grunted as his back smacked into the cool blades of grass. his clothing stuck to his damp body in an irritating way but that was the least of his concerns. damn't, nellie! he yelled in the anger of the moment, although he immediately relaxed, taking a deep breath.
sitting up he brushed his legs off. i'm sorry, nellie, i did not mean to swear at you. his eyes cautiously looked over at her to see what her reaction would of been. you need to think with your head for a moment. you almost walked off the cliff! his tone showed anger in a way but it also showed that he cared. that had terrified wyatt. although he knew so little about the girl there was something there that he couldn't understand, couldn't quite grasp. his mind and his heart were so confused about the young woman. she was different in a way that fascinated him. he let out a long sigh and let his eyes travel to the ground before going back to nellie. he stared at her, waiting for her to speak.
something else crossed his mind. it was what she had just said before almost plummeting to her death. please let me explain myself. i am not trying to use you in any fashion. i simply thought we could have a good day, swim and bath in the sun. i promise my intentions were clean. i might have seen you around the pub before, but i remember very little from my visits to the pub. his eyes were soft, showing his compassionate side. he breathed slowly, relaxing a bit after the adrenaline that had just pumped through his entire physique. now he was eagerly waiting for nellie's response and to see what her actions might be, after he just tugged her to the ground and swore at her. but also after he just guaranteed her that his mind was had the best of intentions.

Nellie stumbled down the sharp incline as she wiped away her hot tears. Why do I keep doing this to myself, I can't have any friends and I don't have a chance of ever getting married. I can't keep doing this, I need to start to live my life, instead of hating myself for it. Nellie closed her chestnut colored eyes as she thought about the direction her life was headed, when suddenly she was quickly grabbed by the end of her arm and sharply pulled backwards. As she fell she let out a suprised Oh! which was quickly followed by a hard fall on to Wyatt. She then proceeded to roll off of him and onto her wrist, which she felt as a sudden pain shot through it.
Grabbing her wrist, Nellie heard a curse directed towards her, but she wasn't offended for she knew that he was only looking out for her safety. Still grabbing her wrist, she listened to Wyatt explain that what she thought had been a rude smile, wasn't. Immediatley feeling guilty and horrible, Nellie propped herself up on her good wrist and winced as she bumped her other wrist.
You have no idea what that means to me. She looked up and smiled at Wyatt for a second, before looking down at the ground in shame. I would very much like to explain myself now. You see, I misunderstood your intentions, for I believed that you had witnessed me at the pub when I was ... uhm ...Nellie sucked in a nervous breath and salty tears began to roll down her dirty cheeks. You see I'm an entertainer. I'm not proud of my job but it's what I have to do. And I completely understand if you walk away right now and never turn back. Nellie's voice cracked as she explained herself. Shoulders hunched and head hanging, she gently moved her wrist and began to wipe away her tears with her dirt covered hand.

immediately, wyatt noticed the grimace on the young woman's face as she rested some weight onto her wrist. however he didn't have the chance to say anything more for she was allowing wyatt to know her tale. at last he was receiving the reason as to why she had become so suddenly cold towards him. wyatt took a deep breath and exhaled and looked away for a moment. memories rushed back and he was able to recognized the woman. he felt rather odd admitting it and decided to keep away from that fact. he could picture her body perfectly as it moved, swaying in such a fashion it had all the drunken idiots drooling on themselves, whether in a figure of speech or literally. wyatt of course enjoyed the show but he was not one to judge a woman for her line of work. he understood needing to do what ever one needed for money.
wyatt gently bit into his lower lip before releasing and looking back at her. his hand found her own wounded one and very carefully he lifted it for him to see. wyatt was a man who knew how to take care of himself without needing someone else to wipe his tears and wrap his wounds. from an early age the man had learned how to treat broken or sore limbs and tell which was which. doesn't look too bad, thank god. just don't put too much pressure on it. he said in his softest tone before lifting her hand to his lips and kissing the top affectionately. he smiled at nellie for a long moment before continuing. i don't care what you do or what you've done. i'm not the best man myself. i won't judge you for what you must do to stay alive and to eat and to care for yourself. i'm here for you nellie. not once did his eyes leave her own.
he released her hand and stood up, dusting his pants off in the process. he could see the grass stains that would not go away but that didn't bother him at the moment. besides, he could always steal another pair. stealing was natural for him by this point. it was wyatt's way of survival. he had heard rumors on the island of a heroin trade; ships bringing the powder in from other countries. he had become highly interested in such a business, although at the moment his mind was not on such a matter but rather on nellie. his hand was extended for her to grab with her good wrist so that he could help the young woman back on to her feet and hopefully they could both turn the day around and make something good of it. wyatt held no harsh feelings towards her, he just wanted to have a good time with a new friend. for now.

Nellie had turned her head away in shame while waiting to hear the footsteps walk away. Holding her breath, she looked back around and was startled to see that Wyatt still stood in the same spot, biting his lower lip in thought. The lingering heaviness that weighed down her heart, immediatley lifted with joy at the notion of Wyatt staying. Nervously Nellie waited to hear the words that were to be spoken, but all was quiet, as Wyatt gingerly kneeled and lifted her injured wrist.
She looked up and studied his face as he curiously examined her wrist, knowledge and worry were evident in his deep brown eyes. Studying his face, Nellie noticed how beautiful Wyatt was. Suddenly feeling butterflies in her stomach, she hid a grin before he confirmed that her wrist wasn't badly hurt. Glad at both the wrist and Wyatt, she inhaled sharply from surprise as he gently placed a small kiss on her hand. Looking into the pools of brown, the words that she was waiting to hear were spoken.
After hearing the words that she had hoped to hear from a man, she smiled widly, still gazing into his eyes. After another moment, Wyatt reached for Nellie's good hand and helped her to her feet. Now feeling the coolness of the passing clouds, she noticed that Wyatt kept brushing away at the green stains on his pants. Immediatley, Nellie burst out loud with eagerness. I have some spare pants lying around my house, I can give them to you. After she blurted out her thoughts, she realized that he might have gotten the wrong impression. Quickly she corrected herself. They belonged to my father.

the beautiful woman burst out with an idea. quickly she corrected herself and in that moment she appeared a little timid. something about that made wyatt grin. she independent, wild, free, young, and full of adventure. at least that was what wyatt was assuming about the little he knew about her. another thing he had noticed was she was a tad on the emotional side but wyatt liked that. he felt like he could be the one to be there for her when she needed it. however, he wouldn't be bringing that up any time soon. they had only just met after all and why would an attractive girl like herself want to be with a loser theft like himself? he let his thoughts sink it and warned himself not to fall for this one, although he had the feeling that it would be very difficult not to.
wyatt chuckled and offered a pleasant grin. that would be much appreciated. the man stood there, very still, trying to ignore his negative thoughts. they were driving him absolutely mad as they usually did. something got his attention though. it was a loud growl in his gut. his head fell back and he laughed before rubbing his stomach. i suppose i'm quite hungry too. perhaps we could go get those pants you mentioned and get some food. there's a place in town, nothing fancy but it's good food. again he smiled at her, watching and waiting for her reaction. hopefully she would not reject the offer. wyatt couldn't imagine that she would though. the two of them seemed to be clicking rather well.
as a gentle breeze brought up the familiar smell of salt water, a thought registered in his head. she had said belonged to her father. the 'ed' at the end made him very curious but he couldn't seem to spit out what he wanted to know. wyatt figured there would be time to prob into her past later and she would be allowed to do the same. although wyatt had a few secrets he never planned to tell a living soul, he was otherwise open about his past. if someone wanted to know so bad they were willing to ask, he would honor them with his stories. he wondered if nellie would even be interested in him after he told her of his low life style of living. he gulped, trying to ignore that for the moment.
