Nellie immediatley smiled as she heard Wyatt confirm that he would take the spare pants at her home. Closing her eyes, she inhaled the salty air as a soft breeze blew by, whipping her hair and making a complete mess. Quickly she ran fingers through the tangled mess to try and keep it from knotting to badly, but gave up as another gust emerged and mussed her hair again. Sighing at the weather and her luck, she listened intently as Wyatt asked to eat lunch and pick up the pants.
Oh of course, I was actually becoming quite hungry myself. Just as the last words came tumbling out of her mouth, her stomach let loose a monsterous growl in protest. A string of bubbly giggles followed as she gained control of herself and grabbed her bag from off the ground. Slinging the worn leather satchel over her shoulder, she gradually began the descent down the cliffs, remembering to keep her injured wrist still. Finally reaching the bottom, Nellie rolled up her sleeves as the pounding rays from the sun reflected off the bright turquise sea. Looking over her shoulder, she blurted out a pressing question, So, Wyatt. What do you do for a living?

outfit click -----------------------------------------------
as they began walking the wind seemed to pick up a little as they walked against it. the air was cold as it blew over wyatt's damp body and his equally damp, if not worse, clothing. he was eager to get to her home and change into warm clothing. such a strange thought to think he would be going to a woman's house to put clothes on rather than to take them off. it surely was a bit different than what he was used to but he felt as though making a move on nellie would be the wrong choice. he understood her feelings about believing men only wanted to use her, so he knew she would not be an easy one to get - physically. he erased the thought from his mind or at least attempted to. he knew it would resurface eventually though.
nellie was the first to speak up and the question made wyatt flinch. he gulped down saliva as if that would help him come up with a suitable answer. his mind rushed with thoughts. which lie would he tell this girl? would he lie? wyatt was fumbling back and forth between telling the truth, which he usually did, or if a lie would be best. he stuck his hands into his pockets and stared straight ahead. things here and there. what ever i can to make some money, keep livin' a decent life. it was the truth although he avoided the major details. perhaps she would let it go with his thought on the matter. just in case he decided to quiz her back. you said belonged to your father. what did you mean? now there was a softness in his eyes and he looked at her, showing compassion.
wyatt could be an extremely patient man and he knew that touchy subjects needed patience. he would not rush nellie to respond and if she chose not to he would completely understand. yet curious him would most likely ask later down the road. wyatt liked answers. he couldn't resist his naturally curious and rather nosy personality. as they walked he thought up options and the best one dubbed him dead. how sad that would be for the girl he was highly attracted to. it would make perfect sense as to why she chose the position she had though, as an entertainer. at this he looked at her again and his eyes traced her body before quickly looking straight ahead again.

Nellie hugged her arms closer to her body as the warm sun faded behind the looming clouds and a chilly breeze began to pick up. Slightly shivering from the cold, she listened as he rattled off a vague response to her question. Now feeling curious, she suddenly wanted to know more, but knew that would be the impolite thing to do. Nellie hoped that maybe one day they would be able to trust each other with their secrets. Nellie quickly shrugged away the thought, for she had no idea if this would blossom into friendship. Hopeful, she began the trek into town with Wyatt by her side.
Now feeling the quiet seep over the conversation, she was about to speak up when Wyatt blurted out a question, which must have been itching him to ask. Immediatly Nellies skin prickled up as the question of her father was mentioned, and she hastily replied in a flat monotone voice. My father disappeared when I was 9. He was out working a ship when a storm came through, sinking the ship and... him.
Nellie gulped as she tried to hold back her tears and anger that always engulfed her when she thought of her father. Now feeling an emptiness inside, she immediatley turned to Wyatt and asked him a similar question. What about you? Any family?

outfit click sorry this post sucks but i've got major cramps and they're distracting me from everything else haha. but if you'd like you could reply to this in another board saying that they're now at her home. if not after you reply to this i'll reply at the house :P -----------------------------------------------
not only had the conversation turned cold but so had the weather. it seemed to happen rather quickly as well and wyatt questioned whether or not a storm was rolling in. he hoped for their sakes it was not for they were already cold and wet. phenomena did not seem like it would be much fun, especially for the two of them with their small amounts of money. buying medicine would be difficult and for wyatt to steal it, well being ill would make that hard as well. he was thinking such a thought through when he thought about nellie and walked closer. his arm casually wrapped over her shoulders and he tugged her close to him, hoping the woman would not decline his offer to keep her safe and warm. besides, it seemed right while comforting her over the loss of her father. wyatt could tell she was holding back the tears she longed to cry.
when the question was turned upon him wyatt looked straight forward as he had been doing for most of the walk. no. no family. his response was short and his tone bland. he did not want to get into such a topic. these aren't topics fitting a woman. perhaps we should change to a healthier subject. wyatt offered with a small grin that was genuinely fake. however, even though he was the one who suggested ending such a conversation he couldn't seem to help blurting out something more. just because i don't have a family does not mean i don't wish to one day start one. he stated into the air. wyatt figured that this was a much better topic, although he knew woman seldom spoke of marriage. for the most part it was arranged and the poor usually remained unmarried and worked as servants to the rich.
